Pumpkin Patch
They had these sling shots that you put a pumpkin in and try to hit the target on the other side. Lynn and I had to help the kids pull the sling shot way back. When we were helping Hattie, Lynn counted to three and we let go at the same time... but Hattie didn't... so she got a little ride! It was so funny! She was done with that. She would not try it again!

what a great weekend!
We were invited to my friends place, (that live by the coast), for a Fall cider pressing party, so we decided to borrow another friends beach place and just stay for the whole weekend! We had such a good time! The Oregon coast is one of the most beautiful places! I feel so lucky to live close by, so I can see it often! The kids wanted to go to the beach so bad... who cares that it was cold, windy, and rainy! We walked downtown, had lunch, went for a beautiful drive, and then back to Karen's beach place to cuddle by the fire. Monday, we packed up our stuff and headed back to the OTHER Karen's place (the one with the cider pressing party) they saddled up the horses and gave the kids rides! Zoe and Hattie were in heaven!!! Zeb wouldn't go near them! He was happy climbing the trees and playing with all the boys!

new addition to the family!
Wednesday morning Zoe and Zeb are off to school, so Hattie and I head out to my friend Joe's. We get out of the car and Joe comes over with "something" for Hattie. A mouse he caught in the barn! You would THINK that Hattie would not get near it! Oh No! She is the one that cries if you kill a spider, or screams at you if you squish any kind of bug because they are her friends. "Mommy, can I keep it??! PLEASE! Joe says he caught it just for her! She immediately wraps "tickles" (her blankie) around the jar to keep him warm, and talks to the thing non stop. Hattie named him, Spot.
Thanks Joe! Appreciate it!
